Ingredients:

  • 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups prepared guacamole
  • 1 1/2 cups chunky salsa, drained slightly
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes

Directions:
In a medium bowl, stir the taco seasoning mix into the refried beans until evenly combined.
Spread the seasoned refried beans in an even layer in a 9×13-inch dish.
In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sour cream together until smooth and creamy.
Spread the cream cheese mixture gently over the bean layer.
Spoon the guacamole over the cream layer and spread it carefully to cover.
Add the salsa on top of the guacamole, spreading it in an even layer.
Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the salsa, then top with shredded lettuce, sliced black olives, and diced tomatoes.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving, then serve with tortilla chips.

Tips:
To keep distinct layers and prevent sogginess, drain any extra liquid from the salsa before spreading it on the dip.

Chill the dip for at least an hour so it sets and the flavors meld; store leftovers tightly covered in the fridge for up to 2 days and give the top a quick fresh sprinkle of tomatoes or lettuce before serving again if needed.
