This Creamy Seafood Mac and Cheese is the ultimate comfort food, marrying the richness of a classic mac and cheese with the luxurious taste of mixed seafood. Ingredients:
- 8 ounces macaroni pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
- 8 ounces cooked seafood mix (shrimp, crab, lobster)
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Add mustard powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in cheddar and Gruyère cheeses until melted and smooth.
- Fold in the cooked seafood.
- Combine cheese sauce with cooked macaroni.
- Transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and bake for 25 minutes.
