Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Additional powdered sugar for rolling

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  2. Add in the vanilla extract and gradually mix in the flour and salt until a dough forms.
  3. Stir in the finely chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  4. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and coat them in powdered sugar.
  7. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between them.
  8. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Once fully cooled, store the cookies in an airtight container to maintain their delicate texture.
