  1. Honey Garlic Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish or ziplock bag and pour the honey garlic marinade over them. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours in the fridge.
  3. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil and cook the chicken breasts for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice golden-brown crust.
  4. Once the chicken is cooked, remove from the pan and set aside. Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Return the chicken to the pan and coat it in the honey garlic sauce. Let it cook for another minute, allowing the sauce to caramelize on the chicken.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot over rice or with your favorite side dish.
