Butter Swim Biscuits are the perfect balance of flaky, buttery goodness. These biscuits are baked to perfection with a golden, crispy top and soft, tender inside. The drizzle of melted butter creates a rich, flavorful experience, and the result is a biscuit that’s irresistible. Served warm, they make an excellent addition to breakfast, dinner, or as a snack.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for sweetness)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Pour the milk and 1/2 cup of melted butter into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The dough should be thick and slightly sticky.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times to bring it together. Roll the dough out to about 1-inch thickness.
  5. Using a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass, cut out biscuits and place them into the prepared baking dish, arranging them closely together.
  6. Dot the tops of the biscuits with cubed butter and drizzle the remaining melted butter over the top.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Optional: Drizzle with honey for a touch of sweetness before serving.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!
