This Sausage Breakfast Pizza combines the rich flavours of breakfast sausage and eggs with the indulgence of melted cheese, all atop a crispy, golden pizza base. It’s the perfect meal for breakfast, brunch, or any time you crave a comforting and satisfying dish.

  1. Ingredients:
    • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 200g breakfast sausage, crumbled
    • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
    • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
    • 4 large eggs
    • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
    • 1/4 cup bell peppers, diced
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (200°C fan)/450°F.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add crumbled sausage and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and fully cooked. Remove from heat.
  4. Sprinkle both cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over the pizza dough.
  5. Add cooked sausage, sliced onions, and diced bell peppers on top of the cheese.
  6. Make four small wells in the toppings, and crack an egg into each well.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Bake the pizza for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden, and the eggs are set (adjust baking time based on your preference for egg firmness).
  9. Once out of the oven, garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
