Pizza Bombs are a fun and delicious twist on classic pizza, packed with melted mozzarella and pepperoni, all wrapped up in soft, golden dough. These bite-sized treats are perfect for a snack, game day, or even a quick dinner.
- Ingredients:
- 1 pack of refrigerated pizza dough (about 400g)
- 100g pepperoni slices, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 egg, beaten (for brushing)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (170°C fan)/375°F and grease a baking sheet with olive oil or line it with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into 12 equal pieces.
- Place a slice of chopped pepperoni and a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese in the centre of each dough piece. Sprinkle with dried oregano and garlic powder.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to form a ball, sealing the edges tightly.
- Arrange the pizza bombs on the prepared baking sheet, then brush them with the beaten egg to give them a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the pizza bombs are golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
- While the pizza bombs bake, heat the marinara sauce in a small saucepan or microwave for dipping.
- Serve the pizza bombs warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
