Ingredients:

  • 1 ball (about 1 lb) pizza dough
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)
  • 8 string cheese sticks or mozzarella sticks (for stuffing crust)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 20–30 slices of pepperoni
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Lightly grease a pizza pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a large circle, slightly larger than your pizza pan.
  3. Place string cheese sticks around the edge of the dough, then fold the dough over the cheese and press to seal the crust tightly.
  4. Transfer to the pan. Spread pizza sauce over the center, leaving the stuffed crust uncovered.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce, then layer on the pepperoni slices.
  6. Brush the crust with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes, garnish with fresh herbs if desired, then slice and serve.
