
Ideal for a family gathering, or simply as a delightful way to end a meal, these dumplings are not just desserts; they are a celebration of seasonal flavors. They can be served warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream melting over them, making them the perfect dessert for chilly evenings.
Ingredients:
- 2 large apples, peeled and cored
 - 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
 - 1 cup butter, melted
 - 1½ cups sugar
 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
 - 1½ cups orange juice
 - Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)
 
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
 - Cut each apple into 8 wedges.
 - Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles. Wrap each apple wedge in a dough triangle and place in a baking dish.
 - In a bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Pour over the wrapped apples.
 - Gently pour the orange juice around the dumplings.
 - Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the dumplings are golden brown and apples are tender.
