These Baked Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs are a cheesy, savory delight that will have everyone coming back for seconds. The mozzarella melts beautifully inside the meatball, adding a creamy and rich texture. When baked to perfection, the outside gets golden and crispy, while the inside stays juicy and packed with flavor. Top them off with marinara sauce for an extra burst of taste.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, cut into small cubes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for greasing
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet with olive oil or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Take a small portion of the meat mixture and flatten it into a patty. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and fold the meat around the cheese to form a ball.
- Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with marinara sauce. Serve hot.
