These Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Brownies are a delightful fusion of moist banana bread and rich chocolate brownies. Each bite offers the sweet, comforting taste of ripe bananas combined with the indulgent pleasure of melted chocolate chips.

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
For Brown Butter Frosting:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 Tbsp milk
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease and flour a 15×10-inch jelly roll pan.
  2. Beat sugar, sour cream, butter, and eggs in a large bowl until creamy. Blend in mashed bananas and vanilla.
  3. Add flour, baking soda, and salt; blend for 1 minute. Stir in walnuts.
  4. Spread batter in the pan. Bake 20-25 minutes until golden.
  5. For frosting, heat butter over medium heat until boiling. Let it brown, then remove from heat.
  6. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk to butter. Whisk until smooth.
  7. Spread frosting over warm bars.
