This Beef Stroganoff Casserole brings the classic flavors of beef stroganoff into a cozy and comforting casserole form. - Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups cooked egg noodles
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing)
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spoon. Once fully cooked, drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet with the beef and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything together until smooth and well combined.
- Fold in the cooked egg noodles until everything is evenly mixed.
- Transfer the beef and noodle mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- In a small bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
