Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup dill pickles, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup Big Mac-style sauce (or Thousand Island dressing)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 egg (beaten for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil and sauté the chopped onion for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in the pickles, cheese, and Big Mac-style sauce. Mix well and set aside to cool slightly.
  5. Flatten each biscuit dough round into a 4-inch circle.
  6. Spoon 2 tablespoons of the cheeseburger filling into the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch to seal, forming a ball.
  7. Place seam-side down on a lined baking sheet. Brush each with egg wash, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Brush warm bombs with melted butter after baking. Serve hot with extra sauce for dipping.
