Ingredients:
- 4 slices thick-cut bread (sourdough or brioche recommended)
- 4 large eggs
- 4 strips bacon, cooked and crispy
- 1 tablespoon butter (for eggs)
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter (for bread)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: sliced avocado, spinach, or hot sauce for extra flair
Directions:
- In a bowl, whisk eggs with milk, salt, and pepper.
- In a non-stick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter and scramble eggs over medium heat until just set. Set aside.
- Butter one side of each bread slice. Lay two slices, butter-side down, in a clean skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Layer with half the shredded cheddar, scrambled eggs, bacon, and remaining cheese. Top with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
