Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Additional powdered sugar for rolling
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add in the vanilla extract and gradually mix in the flour and salt until a dough forms.
- Stir in the finely chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and coat them in powdered sugar.
- Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between them.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once fully cooled, store the cookies in an airtight container to maintain their delicate texture.
