Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 small green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
- In a large skillet or deep sauté pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Stir in onion, green bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Pour in beef broth and milk. Stir in elbow macaroni, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes or until pasta is cooked and liquid is mostly absorbed. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Once pasta is tender, remove from heat. Stir in provolone (or mozzarella) and Parmesan until melted and creamy.
- Let sit 5 minutes before serving for the sauce to thicken slightly.
