Cheesy Parmesan Meatloaf

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on the prepared baking sheet or in the loaf pan.
  4. If using, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
