This Chili Cheese Dog Casserole combines the classic flavors of a chili cheese dog in a comforting, bakeable delight. Ingredients:

  • 8 hot dogs, sliced
  • 1 can (15 oz) chili with beans
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onions until translucent. Add sliced hot dogs and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, chili powder, and canned chili. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Unroll crescent dough and press into the bottom and up the sides of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Pour the hot dog and chili mixture over the dough. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
