- Ingredients:
- 2 cups corn flakes
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine corn flakes and chopped pecans. Set aside.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil, then let it boil for 2-3 minutes without stirring.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the hot syrup over the corn flake mixture and quickly toss to coat all the flakes evenly.
- Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.
