  1. Ingredients:
    • 2 cups corn flakes
    • 1 cup pecans, chopped
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
    • 1/4 cup corn syrup
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • Pinch of salt
    Directions:
    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. In a large bowl, combine corn flakes and chopped pecans. Set aside.
    3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil, then let it boil for 2-3 minutes without stirring.
    4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
    5. Pour the hot syrup over the corn flake mixture and quickly toss to coat all the flakes evenly.
    6. Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
    7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.
