Ingredients:
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder

- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 2 cups buttermilk

- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cut in butter and shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add yeast mixture and buttermilk, stirring just until dough comes together.
