Ingredients:
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
- Stir in tomato sauce and Italian seasoning; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Spread 1 cup meat sauce in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Layer with 3 noodles, a third of the ricotta mixture, a third of the mozzarella cheese, and a third of the Parmesan cheese. Repeat layers twice.
- Cover and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover; bake until heated through and bubbly, about 20 minutes more. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
