This Classic Homemade Lasagna recipe is a heartwarming feast that brings the taste of Italy right into your kitchen. Ingredients:

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
  • Stir in tomato sauce and Italian seasoning; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Spread 1 cup meat sauce in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Layer with 3 noodles, a third of the ricotta mixture, a third of the mozzarella cheese, and a third of the Parmesan cheese. Repeat layers twice.
  • Cover and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover; bake until heated through and bubbly, about 20 minutes more. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
