Honey Bun Brownies combine the best of two favorite treats: cinnamon rolls and brownies. With a rich, buttery base and a swirled cinnamon-brown sugar filling, these brownies are a perfect balance of sweet and comforting. Topped with a smooth, sugary glaze, they’re sure to satisfy any sweet tooth!

  1. Ingredients:
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and sour cream until well combined. The batter should be thick.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter in the baking dish, creating a swirl pattern.
  4. Use a knife or a skewer to gently swirl the cinnamon-sugar mixture into the batter to create a marble effect.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. While the brownies are baking, make the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.
  7. Once the brownies are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over the top.
  8. Allow the glaze to set for a few minutes before slicing into squares and serving.
