- Honey Garlic Chicken
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish or ziplock bag and pour the honey garlic marinade over them. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours in the fridge.
- Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil and cook the chicken breasts for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice golden-brown crust.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove from the pan and set aside. Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken to the pan and coat it in the honey garlic sauce. Let it cook for another minute, allowing the sauce to caramelize on the chicken.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot over rice or with your favorite side dish.
