Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 carrot, finely grated
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 30 lumpia wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Sweet chili sauce, for serving

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, carrot, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Place about 1 tablespoon of the pork mixture onto each lumpia wrapper. Fold the wrapper over the filling, roll tightly, then seal the edges with water.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pan to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Fry the lumpia in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve hot with sweet chili sauce for dipping.
