This recipe combines the perfect balance of tangy sour cream with smooth cream cheese, all nestled in a buttery graham cracker crust. Ingredients:
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 (8 oz) packages of cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1 1/4 cups of sugar and continue mixing.
- Blend in the vanilla extract, lemon juice, and flour.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition until just combined.
- Stir in the sour cream, mixing just until blended.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is almost set.
- Turn off the oven and allow the cheesecake to cool inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
