Easy to make and even easier to love, they’re perfect for gatherings, special occasions, or simply when you crave something sweet. Their timeless charm and delicious taste make them a favorite for all ages.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • For the Glaze:
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 2 tbsp milk
    • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix buttermilk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fill each donut well about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  8. Dip each donut into the glaze and set on a wire rack to cool.
