Ingredients:

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 ½ cups marinara or tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter and sauté onion until translucent. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in crumbled bacon, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and marinara sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, egg, Italian seasoning, and ½ cup Parmesan cheese.
  6. In a greased 9×13 baking dish, layer 3 noodles, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, half of the meat sauce, a handful of mozzarella and cheddar. Repeat layers.
  7. Top with remaining noodles, remaining sauce, and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  9. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
