Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese is a fun twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, combining the best of both worlds—pizza and a cheesy sandwich. The crispy, buttery bread pairs perfectly with melted mozzarella cheese and savory slices of pepperoni, while the pizza sauce adds a delicious, tangy kick. Topped with Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of oregano, this sandwich brings the flavors of pizza to a whole new level.
- Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread (your choice, sourdough or white works best)
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 slices mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons pizza sauce
- 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions:
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, onto the skillet. Layer with one slice of mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce, pepperoni slices, and another slice of mozzarella cheese. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Grill the sandwich on each side for 3-4 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted. Press down lightly with a spatula to help the sandwich cook evenly.
- Remove from the skillet and sprinkle the top with grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, and garlic powder for added flavor.
- Cut the sandwich in half and serve warm.
