Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
- Add garlic, cook for 1 minute. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Stir in the cooked macaroni.
- Transfer to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake, uncovered, for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is melted.
