This Crispy Spiced Chicken Deluxe, a gourmet twist on the traditional Southern fried chicken, brings a perfect blend of heat and flavor to your table. The chicken is marinated in a spiced buttermilk mixture, ensuring every bite is juicy and infused with a blend of garlic, onion, paprika, and a hint of cayenne for that extra kick.
Ingredients:
- 4 large chicken breasts
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Directions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together buttermilk, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
- Add chicken breasts to the mixture, ensuring they are fully submerged. Marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, and pepper.
- Remove chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, coating evenly.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry chicken in batches for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
