This Steak with Bourbon Garlic Cream Sauce is a true culinary delight that brings a touch of luxury to your dinner table. The perfectly seared steak, paired with a rich and velvety sauce, offers a harmonious blend of flavors that will leave your taste buds dancing.
Ingredients:
- 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Directions:
- Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set them aside to rest.
- In the same skillet, carefully add the bourbon. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.
- Add the butter to the sauce and stir until melted and smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Return the steaks to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the top, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to warm through.
- Serve the steaks hot, garnished with fresh parsley and more sauce on the side.
