This Classic Stove-Top Meatloaf brings a touch of homestyle cooking right to your kitchen. The mix of ground beef with herbs and spices, topped with a sweet and tangy sauce, makes it a delightful meal that’s both hearty and satisfying.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
- In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, beaten egg, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, and basil until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased skillet.
- In a small bowl, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Spread this mixture over the top of the meatloaf.
- Cover and cook on medium heat for 25-30 minutes, or until meatloaf is cooked through.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
