Ingredients:

  • 1 Packet dry active yeast
  • ¼ C. Warm water
  • ½ C. Milk
  • ½ C. Buttermilk
  • ¼ C. Granulated sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • Pinch salt
  • 3 ½ C. All-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Softened unsalted butter
  • For Honey Cinnamon Butter:
  • 4 Tbsp. Butter, softened and unsalted
  • ½ tsp. Cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. Honey
  • 1 Tbsp. Confectioners sugar
Directions:
  1. Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water. Let it sit briefly.
  2. Warm the milk and buttermilk, then melt 2 tbsp. butter into it.
  3. In a mixing bowl, blend the milk mixture, yeast, sugar, salt, and 1 cup flour until smooth.
  4. Incorporate the egg, then gradually add the remaining flour until the dough separates from the hook.
  5. Let the dough rise for 1 hour after forming it into a ball in a greased bowl.
  6. Roll the dough out, cut into rectangles, fold to shape rolls, and let rise for 20 minutes.
  7. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  8. Mix all ingredients for honey cinnamon butter and serve with warm rolls.
