Whether you’re hosting a party, need a quick bite, or just want to satisfy a craving, these sticks are sure to be a hit. The crispy exterior gives way to a gooey, cheesy center, with the ham adding a delightful savory note. Serve them with your favorite dipping sauce for an extra layer of flavor.
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup white chocolate, melted and slightly cooled
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Stir in the melted white chocolate until fully incorporated.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn them out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- While the cakes are cooling, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Once the cakes are cool, spread a layer of raspberry jam over the top of one cake layer. Spread a layer of whipped cream over the jam, then sprinkle fresh raspberries on top. Place the second cake layer on top.
- Frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining whipped cream, and decorate with more fresh raspberries and white chocolate shavings if desired.
